According to a report by a local media outlet, a young Nairobi woman known as Kawira, who is also active on TikTok, has spoken out about the painful experiences she has gone through in her life.
During the interview, she explained that her journey has not been easy, revealing that she has faced situations that left her deeply hurt and feeling betrayed.
Kawira said she decided to share her story so that people can understand what she has been silently enduring and the struggles she continues to face.
While speaking to journalists from Tuko, Kawira alleged that she was once mistreated by a well-known preacher while inside his car. She said the incident happened after the preacher offered to give her a lift.
“I never thought someone who is meant to lead people spiritually could behave like that. I was frightened and felt completely humiliated,” she said.
Kawira added that she was shocked by the preacher’s actions because she had trusted him and never imagined he could act in such a manner.
She further claimed that before reaching her destination, the preacher allegedly turned violent, beating her and attempting to undress her while they were still in the car.
According to her, his actions seemed like an attempt to show dominance and control, leaving her feeling powerless and scared.
“I kept asking myself how someone I believed was kind could suddenly become so harsh. That experience changed me completely,” she said.
Kawira also revealed that this was not the only time she has been hurt by people close to her. She shared that some of her friends have taken advantage of her kindness and later abandoned her when she needed them the most.
“I have come to realize that some people may seem good, but their true nature can be very different. I just hope my story helps others to be more cautious,” she said.
