Tuju Alleges Police Evicted Him and Family from Karen Home, Child Injured in Early Morning Operation

Former Cabinet Secretary Raphael Tuju has claimed that police officers forced him and his family out of their Karen residence in the early hours of the morning, leaving his child injured during the operation.

According to Tuju, the officers arrived at the property around 3 a.m., ordering the family to vacate immediately.

He described the sudden eviction as confusing and distressing, leaving little time for the family to understand the reasons behind the action.

“The operation happened suddenly. The family was woken up in the middle of the night, and my child was hurt during the commotion,” Tuju said.

The former Jubilee Party secretary-general said the eviction caused panic among his family members, particularly the children, and described the approach used by the police as harsh.

The incident took place in the upscale Karen neighborhood, known for housing prominent leaders and diplomats.

Tuju has now raised concerns about the handling of the operation, questioning why the eviction was carried out at such an odd hour and calling for transparency from authorities.

“We need fairness and clarity on why this operation was conducted in this manner,” Tuju added, emphasizing the emotional impact on his family.

The matter has already sparked public debate, with many Kenyans questioning the timing and tactics used during the eviction.

The authorities are yet to provide an official explanation regarding the incident, and the public is closely monitoring the situation for any further developments.
