RIP: Sad Scene as Man Allegedly Ambushed by Villagers Over Affair Claims With Chief’s Wife and Theft; Killed and Body Set on Fire

A tragic incident occurred on Friday in Kericho County, where a man was attacked by a group of villagers following serious allegations.

The residents claimed that the man had an alleged affair with a local chief’s wife and was also accused of stealing from the chief.

According to witnesses, the villagers confronted the man, forced him to sit down, and tied him with ropes. The situation quickly turned violent as some of the residents reportedly assaulted him.

The attack resulted in the man’s death.

Reports also indicate that after the man died, his body was set on fire. Some villagers said this was meant to serve as a warning to others against committing similar acts.

The incident has sparked shock and concern in the community about the dangers of mob justice.

Authorities have strongly condemned the act, urging residents not to take the law into their own hands. Officials reminded the public that anyone suspected of wrongdoing should be reported to the police for proper investigation and legal action.

Police have launched investigations into the matter and warned that anyone found involved in the attack will face prosecution.

Community leaders have also appealed for calm, emphasizing that justice must be handled through lawful channels rather than violence.
