Peter Chuma Joins Democracy for Citizens Party, Eyes Embakasi West Parliamentary Seat

Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has welcomed businessman and politician Peter Chuma into the Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP) as he prepares to contest the Embakasi West Constituency parliamentary seat in Nairobi.

Gachagua met Chuma during a political meeting with party leaders, emphasizing the party’s goal of strengthening grassroots support across the country.

He highlighted that constituencies like Embakasi West play a key role in shaping Nairobi’s political landscape.

Chuma has ramped up his engagement with residents, youth groups, and community leaders to understand the issues affecting the constituency. His campaign is expected to focus on job creation, business support, and improving public services.

Embakasi West, one of Nairobi’s largest constituencies, has a significant population of young people and small business owners, many of whom rely on informal enterprises and local transport services for income.

Political contenders in the area typically prioritize employment opportunities and infrastructure development.

The coming months will be crucial as Chuma positions himself for the upcoming elections and seeks to build support among residents of Embakasi West.
