KMTC Reopens Portal for March 2026 Diploma and Certificate Applications

The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has reopened applications for diploma and certificate programmes at the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) for the March 2026 intake.

The exercise targets Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) holders who have not yet secured admission to KMTC, including those who applied during the January 2026 intake but were unsuccessful. Applicants are urged to submit their applications before the deadline of March 13, 2026.

Applicants can access programme details, minimum entry requirements, and campus information via the KUCCPS Student Portal. To apply, students should log in to the portal, view available KMTC programmes, and follow the step-by-step application process outlined online.

For assistance, applicants can contact KUCCPS at 020 5137400 or 0713 924 444, or email [email protected].

KMTC, with 92 campuses nationwide, is recognised globally as a leading institution in middle-level health training, consistently ranking ahead of several universities in the Webometrics global rankings.

The college’s mandate is to train fit-for-purpose health professionals through transformative education, research, and consultancy.

Speaking at the conclusion of a three-day consultancy training workshop, CEO Kelly Oluoch challenged staff to build internal research and consultancy capacity, highlighting the need to explore areas like digital transformation in medical education, lifelong learning systems, and health innovation incubation.

Oluoch acknowledged that while KMTC has excelled in training, its consultancy services are still in the early stages.

He commended principals, managers, and staff for their dedication and cited previous engagements, including projects to improve maternal and newborn health, as a foundation for expanding future institutional consultancy work.

The recent workshop marks a key milestone in KMTC’s drive to strengthen research and consultancy, positioning the college as a continental hub for health innovation and system strengthening.

Applicants are encouraged to act quickly to take advantage of this opportunity to join one of Kenya’s leading medical training institutions before the March 13, 2026 deadline.
