A pastor, Nindo Wanyonyi, from Bungoma County has shocked many Kenyans after claiming that he has the power to stop the heavy rains causing floods in Nairobi and other parts of the country. His statement has left many people both surprised and concerned.
In a recent statement, the pastor reportedly said that if Kenyans affected by the heavy rains contribute money, he will immediately stop the rain. He urged people to give “whatever little they can afford” so that he can perform his so-called miracle.
The pastor went further to share his Paybill and Till number, asking Kenyans to send at least Ksh 300. He said the contributions would help him use his powers to stop the ongoing floods.
However, authorities and community leaders have warned Kenyans to be careful. They reminded the public to stay alert against fake pastors who ask for money in exchange for prayers or promises to perform miracles.
Experts say that some people may take advantage of desperate situations, like the heavy floods, to scam others.
Kenyans have been advised not to send any money to the Bungoma pastor, as there is a high possibility that he is not genuine and could be exploiting people for his own benefit.
The public is urged to seek help from official authorities and trusted channels rather than falling for unverified claims of miracle powers.
