Governor Ole Ntutu Reassures Community: Late MP Ng’eno’s Widow Remains Part of the Family

Governor Patrick Ole Ntutu, father-in-law of the late MP Johana Ng’eno, has addressed the people of Emurua Dikirr regarding the role of the late politician’s widow in the family.

Speaking during the funeral period, the governor sought to clarify cultural expectations and reinforce family unity after the tragic death of Ng’eno.

According to Governor Ntutu, while the widow is not originally from their community, she is still an integral part of the Ng’eno family.

“We want to tell the Ng’eno community, especially in African customs, particularly among the Maasai and Kipsigis, that she is not originally ours. Even though Johana Ng’eno is gone, she is your child, and she will continue to be part of the Ng’eno family until God reunites us in heaven,” he stated.

His remarks were seen as both a message of reassurance and a reaffirmation of family values, emphasizing respect, unity, and the continuation of bonds even after the loss of a loved one.

The governor’s statement also aimed to prevent misunderstandings or tensions within the community regarding the widow’s role.

Earlier, the widow of the late Johana Ng’eno, Naiyanoi Ntutu, pledged to continue serving the people of Emurua Dikirr.

She assured the community that she will uphold her late husband’s commitment to the constituents and thanked them for their support during the mourning period.

Naiyanoi said, “Nothing can separate my family and the people of Emurua Dikirr. I will continue helping them as much as I can.”

The statements from both Governor Ntutu and Naiyanoi highlight the importance of cultural traditions and family bonds during times of grief, ensuring continuity and unity within the Ng’eno family and the wider community.
