Crowd Erupts as Kimani Ichung’wah Recognizes Gathoni Wamuchomba at Alliance High School Centenary

The atmosphere at Alliance High School’s centenary celebrations turned electric when Majority Leader in the National Assembly, Kimani Ichung’wah, recognized the presence of Gathunguri MP Gathoni Wamuchomba.

The event, attended by President William Ruto and other senior leaders, brought together dignitaries from across the country to mark 100 years of the prestigious institution.

As part of his role as Majority Leader, Ichung’wah acknowledged fellow Members of Parliament in attendance, noting that not all leaders would have an opportunity to address the gathering. When he mentioned Wamuchomba’s name, the crowd responded with loud cheers.

“Pale nyuma tuko na Gathunguri Member of Parliament Hon. Gathoni Wamuchomba,” Ichung’wah announced.

At that moment, the audience erupted, enthusiastically chanting her name as she waved back in appreciation. The brief exchange created one of the most talked-about moments of the celebration.

Observers noted that the reaction highlighted Wamuchomba’s popularity among sections of the public present at the event.

The centenary ceremony otherwise focused on celebrating the school’s legacy, national unity, and ongoing development initiatives in the education sector.
