News reaching our desk is that a popular gospel artist has been hospitalized and admitted to ICU at KNH in Nairobi following an attack by her ex-husband.
According to the report, the attack happened when the artist was leaving church and returning home, when her ex-husband and another assailant ambushed her on the road.
The two reportedly restrained her first before acid was poured on her face. The artist, Claire wa Redemption, who sang songs of redemption, was found lying helplessly on the ground and was rushed to the hospital.
Police officers are reportedly searching for the ex-husband, while the man who helped him commit the crime has reportedly been arrested.
Fans on social media have been left heartbroken, urging the authorities to act faster to arrest the perpetrators as they pray for a quick recovery for the artist.
