Analyst Urges Raphael Tuju to Align with President Ruto Amid Political and Legal Challenges

Former Cabinet Secretary Raphael Tuju is once again at the center of Kenya’s political and legal spotlight following his release on a KSh 200,000 anticipatory bail. The release comes after reports indicated that his health had deteriorated ahead of a scheduled court appearance.

The turn of events has reignited debate across the country, drawing in political analysts and public commentators, while raising questions about alliances and survival in Kenya’s high-stakes political arena.

Political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi has weighed in, urging Tuju to reconsider his political positioning and align himself with President William Ruto.

In a post that quickly gained traction online, Ngunyi suggested that such a move could potentially ease Tuju’s challenges.

“Dear Tuju: Ruto has asked you to become his REAL friend. And all your PROBLEMS will go away. Just do it. Call him. You have his NUMBER,” Ngunyi stated, emphasizing political loyalty as a critical factor in Tuju’s current situation.

Ngunyi further raised concerns about Tuju’s financial difficulties, alleging that the bank involved has partial ownership linked to members of the Kikuyu community.

He also dismissed potential support from Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka, asserting that Kalonzo would not be in a position to assist Tuju.

As Tuju navigates his legal battles and health concerns, his next political moves remain uncertain. Observers continue to watch closely, as any alignment or shift could influence broader political dynamics ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Members of the public are following developments with keen interest, particularly in the context of Tuju’s political alliances and ongoing court cases.
