In a heartbreaking incident at one of the hospitals in Nairobi County, a mother has accused doctors of neglect after her two-month-old baby died while waiting for treatment. According to the mother, her child’s health suddenly became worse, and she rushed to the hospital hoping to get urgent help.
However, she claims that when she asked the doctors to assist her baby, their response shocked her and left her in deep panic and confusion. She said instead of acting fast, she was ignored at a time when every second mattered.
The grieving mother further revealed that some doctors allegedly told her they were tired and needed time to rest, despite her crying and even kneeling before them, begging for her child’s life to be saved.
She said she felt helpless as her baby’s condition continued to worsen without proper attention.
After about two hours of waiting, the baby sadly passed away.
The mother says what hurt her most was that only after the child’s death did some doctors rush to the scene, when it was already too late to save the infant.
The incident has sparked widespread anger among Kenyans online, with many calling for immediate investigation.
Some people are demanding the arrest of those involved, while others want the hospital to be suspended over alleged negligence and poor handling of emergency cases.
