Video of Marion Naipei Reading Bible at Pastor Kanyari’s Church Sparks Dress Code Debate Online

A video of Marion Naipei reading Bible verses during a church service at Pastor Victor Kanyari’s church has gone viral, attracting mixed reactions across social media platforms.

The clip, first shared on TikTok, has garnered thousands of views and hundreds of comments. In the footage, Marion is seen standing before the congregation holding a microphone as she confidently reads scripture in English.

Pastor Kanyari stands beside her, translating the verses into Swahili to help members of the congregation follow the message.

Marion appears calm and composed as she participates in the service, drawing praise from some viewers who commended her confidence and eloquence.

However, despite the spiritual setting of the video, much of the online discussion has centered on her outfit. Marion attended the service wearing a fitted pink skirt paired with a dark top.

Some social media users argued that the attire was too tight and not suitable for a church environment.

Critics insisted that modest dressing is important in places of worship as a sign of respect.
Others, however, came to her defense.

Supporters maintained that the intention of attending church and engaging in worship matters more than clothing choices.

They argued that judging someone solely based on appearance shifts focus away from the purpose of being in church.

The video has since ignited a broader conversation about dress codes in religious spaces and the balance between personal expression and traditional expectations.

Marion has not publicly responded to the reactions as the debate continues online.
