"There Is Nothing He Can Do": Farouk Kibet Confirms Government Will Freeze Uhuru's Bank Accounts, Reveals Reason

President William Ruto’s aide, Farouk Kibet, on Wednesday reportedly warned former President Uhuru Kenyatta about possible government action if he continues to fund political rallies in the country.

Kibet said that Uhuru risks having his bank accounts frozen and added that “there is nothing he can do” once such a decision is made.

According to Kibet, President Ruto has been monitoring Uhuru Kenyatta’s political activities closely. He suggested that the government believes the former president is supporting actions that could create unrest in the country.

Kibet warned that an order to freeze Uhuru’s assets could be given soon if these actions continue.

Kibet also noted that the official campaign period has not yet started. He accused some opposition leaders of encouraging Kenyans to reject President Ruto’s leadership and said those involved could be held accountable.

He emphasized that the government is focused on maintaining peace and stability and will respond firmly to any attempts to disrupt order.

These remarks are likely to spark mixed reactions among Kenyans, particularly supporters of both leaders, as political tensions remain high.

It is important to note that these are statements reported by Farouk Kibet and no official action regarding bank accounts has been confirmed by the government.
