Former Cabinet Secretary Susan Nakhumicha has caused mixed reactions online after bold statements that surfaced on social media concerning President William Ruto and politics in Trans Nzoia County.
According to information shared by what was described as a reliable social media source, Nakhumicha, who is said to be eyeing the Trans Nzoia governor seat, claimed that she is the only woman who can easily convince President Ruto and receive support from him.
In her remarks, Nakhumicha strongly attacked the current Trans Nzoia Governor, George Natembeya. She said that no matter how many times Natembeya visits State House to ask President Ruto for support and development projects, he is unlikely to get assistance.
She explained that this is because the governor is seen as a critic of the Kenya Kwanza government.
Nakhumicha further stated that if she is elected as the next governor of Trans Nzoia County, the situation will change. She claimed that she would personally go to State House, engage President William Ruto directly, and secure development projects for the county. She promised that residents would benefit under her leadership.
She also spoke about women in leadership, claiming that female leaders receive more attention and support compared to male leaders when they seek help from State House.
According to her, women can easily convince the president compared to men, and for this reason, Kenyans should consider voting for women leaders.
