On Thursday, Tanzanian socialite Irene Uwoya made a surprising announcement. She said she is offering a reward of Ksh 50,000 to any Kenyan who can help her get the phone number of former President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Uwoya, who is known for her bold statements on social media, had earlier shared her feelings for the former Kenyan leader. She openly admitted that she has fallen deeply in love with him and wants to speak to him directly.
In a statement she made online, Uwoya explained that seeing Uhuru’s pictures brings her happiness. She said that her biggest wish is to have a personal conversation with him over the phone, and that is why she is looking for someone who can provide his contact.
She further advised Kenyans that anyone who knows the former president’s number should send it to her through her official Facebook or Instagram accounts.
Uwoya asked that the message should include the sender’s M-PESA number or bank account details so that the reward can be sent quickly.
Uwoya promised that the Ksh 50,000 reward will be transferred to the person within one to two hours after she sees the message. Her post quickly attracted attention on social media, with many users reacting to the unusual request.
Some expressed amusement, while others questioned the seriousness of the offer.
Despite the mix of reactions, Irene Uwoya remains confident that someone will come forward to help her.
