Homa Bay Senator Moses Otieno Kajwang has expressed concern following the resignation of Joseph Oyugi Magwanga, a decision officially accepted by Gladys Wanga.
Kajwang highlighted that the 2022 gubernatorial ticket, which brought Wanga and Magwanga together, was carefully formed through consultations led by Raila Odinga.
The duo’s partnership was seen as a strategic move to consolidate support and drive stability and development in Homa Bay County.
Describing the resignation as an unfortunate development, the senator noted that the collaboration had symbolized unity and shared purpose despite political differences.
He emphasized the need for dialogue and reflection to resolve internal disagreements, ensuring that such disruptions do not affect future working relationships within the county executive.
Kajwang also extended appreciation to Magwanga for his contributions during his tenure, urging Governor Wanga to carefully consider the factors that led to the separation.
He underscored the importance of maintaining unity and stability for effective service delivery and meaningful development.
The senator concluded by calling for a renewed commitment to a people-centered administration that prioritizes residents’ needs above political interests.
