"Give Us More Slots in Government and We Will Ensure Those Opposing You Are Arrested Before 2027," Junet Mohammed Sparks Buzz After Telling Ruto

On Saturday, Suna East MP Junet Mohamed reportedly revealed that, for now, any leader or politician who is opposing President William Ruto should be arrested and held accountable.

In a statement the MP allegedly made, he said that he is frustrated seeing how some opposition leaders are attacking President William Ruto, saying that such behavior cannot be tolerated.

He assured the president that they, as his close allies now, will ensure those opposing him are arrested before the 2027 elections, and the president should be ready to add Luo people more slots.

He allegedly added that they want at least 80% of CS and PS slots to go to Luo Nyanza people, and then 20% to go to Kalenjins who support President William Ruto, adding that by doing that, things will be okay as they move closer to the elections.

However, on social media, many Kenyans accused him of being divisive and promoting favoritism.

Some argued that leadership positions should be given based on merit, not ethnicity, while others warned that such statements could increase tension between communities.

The debate continues, with many waiting to see if Junet will clarify his remarks or stand by them as the political drama heats up ahead of 2027.
