Controversial singer and businesswoman Akothee, born Esther Akoth, has opened up about a deeply personal matter involving her former partner Dominic Derchef, popularly known as Papa Oyoo.
In a candid Facebook post, Madam Boss revealed that although they were once very close, their relationship has become strained following events surrounding their daughter’s wedding in France.
According to Akothee, Papa Oyoo has been distant and has not been picking up her calls, a situation she believes stems from her decision to travel to France with her first baby daddy, Jared Okello, to attend their daughter Fancy Makadia’s wedding ceremony.
Akothee explained that the move did not sit well with Papa Oyoo. She expressed sadness, saying she feels she lost not just a co-parent but also a close friend.
In her emotional post, she described him as someone who had stood by her and her children for years — attending school events, supporting her family, and even flying from Djibouti to be present during important moments.
She noted that since the France trip, communication between them has significantly reduced. According to her, Papa Oyoo now arranges travel plans directly with the children, leaving her feeling sidelined in decisions concerning their son.
The mother of five reflected on how strong their bond had been, sharing memories of the support he offered during her struggles.
She admitted that the situation has been painful, especially given the closeness they once shared even after their romantic relationship ended.
