Shock and mixed reactions have emerged following strong claims made by activist Boniface Mwangi against the late former Prime Minister, Raila Odinga.
Speaking on Saturday morning, Mwangi alleged that Raila “died with bloody hands,” a phrase he used to describe what he believes were political decisions that greatly affected the country.
According to Mwangi, Raila’s political agreement with President William Ruto was allegedly driven by personal interests rather than the needs of ordinary Kenyans.

He claimed that the deal slowed down public protests and ended what many citizens believed was a growing revolution meant to bring change.
Mwangi said many Kenyans felt disappointed after Raila chose dialogue instead of continuing pressure on the government.
The activist further alleged that Raila stopped the struggle too early. He claimed that although Raila entered into a cooperation deal with President Ruto, he did not remain in the arrangement long enough to achieve meaningful benefits for the people.
According to Mwangi, Kenyans were left facing high taxes, rising living costs, and economic hardship.
Mwangi also claimed that Raila Odinga was a wealthy man who allegedly used poor Kenyans to advance his political career.
He argued that the people who supported Raila in protests and political campaigns did not benefit financially, while their lives have continued to become harder.
According to him, the situation of ordinary citizens is worse now than it was before.
The remarks have sparked heated debate across the country.
While some Kenyans agree with Mwangi’s views, others have defended Raila Odinga, saying his decisions were made to protect peace and stability.
The statements have once again reopened conversations about leadership, sacrifice, and accountability in Kenyan politics.
