Kenyans at home and abroad are celebrating after several of their compatriots successfully graduated from Royal Navy training at H.M.S. Raleigh in the United Kingdom.
The colourful pass-out parade marked the completion of an intense training programme, showcasing the discipline, resilience, and commitment demonstrated by the graduates throughout their journey. The event stood out as a moment of pride not only for the individuals but for Kenya as a nation.
Members of the Kenyan community living in the UK turned up in large numbers to support the graduates. Among those present were British Army veteran Tirus Njenga, Catherine Nduta, and Joanna James, whose attendance highlighted the strong bond between Kenyans in the diaspora and national achievements abroad.
One of the graduates, Seaman Njambi, received special commendation for outstanding dedication, leadership, and exemplary conduct during the training period.
Speaking after the ceremony, Njambi expressed deep appreciation for the opportunity to serve and represent Kenya on an international stage.
“It is a great honour to wear this uniform and proudly represent the spirit and values of Kenya,” Njambi said.
The parade itself was a striking display of military precision and professionalism, with each graduate demonstrating the skills and discipline required to serve in one of the world’s most respected naval forces.
Family members, friends, and community representatives joined in celebrating the achievement, describing it as both a personal victory and a national milestone.
The success of the graduates reflects the growing presence of Kenyan nationals in global service roles.
As they begin their careers in the Royal Navy, the graduates carry with them the pride of Kenya and serve as inspiration to young Kenyans aspiring to pursue opportunities abroad through hard work, discipline, and determination.
