A photo of Faith Jepkorir, the Nairobi-based teacher who went missing on Valentine’s Day, has emerged, plunging her family and community into grief.
Faith, a teacher at Jeffry International School Academy in Lavightone, Nairobi, disappeared on 14th February 2026. Originally from Cheptiret location in Uasin Gishu County, her sudden absence triggered immediate concern from her family, friends, and colleagues.
According to relatives, Faith was last heard from on Valentine’s Day. When she failed to return home or answer calls, her family began an urgent search.
Tragically, the search ended when they were informed that she had been involved in a fatal accident in Nairobi. Her body was subsequently taken to the City Mortuary.
“Faith was a bright and caring daughter. Losing her suddenly has left us in deep pain,” a relative said, highlighting the profound loss felt by the family.
The task of arranging her body’s transfer from Nairobi to Cheptiret for burial has compounded their grief.
Residents of Cheptiret say the news has shocked the entire community. Faith was widely known as a kind and dedicated teacher whose commitment to her students earned her admiration and respect.
Her colleagues at Jeffry International School Academy expressed sorrow at the loss of a hardworking professional, while local leaders and elders also offered their condolences.
“It is heartbreaking to lose someone so young and full of promise,” said a community elder. “Her death is a great loss not just to her family but to the entire area.”
The tragic incident underscores the vulnerability of individuals to sudden accidents and serves as a reminder of the importance of community support in times of grief.
